Morning energy
Morning energy is mostly light, contrast, and getting the first thing started. The planner picks a cold-shower close, a couple of unshaded minutes looking toward the sky (never at the sun), and a two-minute attention reset. Skip the cold close if you have heart or cold-related conditions.
The rituals the planner picks
Typing “I want more morning energy” reads as Energy · Morning. These are the rituals the planner puts in that week — 3 of them, about 25 minutes across 5 days.

01
Cold shower close 1 min · Cold or air · standing
Finish the last 20–60 seconds of a shower cold. Breathe through the nose if you can.
After a normal shower, turn the water cold for 20–60 seconds. Slow nasal breaths. Step out when you choose.
Inspired by Dave Asprey — Bulletproof methods
Never do cold exposure in a bath, lake, or while driving. Step out and stop if you feel dizzy, numb, or short of breath. Skip if you have heart or cold-related conditions. You are done when you finish the cold close, not when a timer says so.

02
Morning sunlight 2 min · Look out · standing
Step outside and look toward the sky, not at the sun. A few unshaded minutes after waking.
Go outside. Look toward the brightest part of the sky without staring at the sun. A few minutes is enough. Minimum version: one minute outdoors.
Inspired by Andrew Huberman — Huberman Lab
Do not stare at the sun. Clouds still count.

03
Attention reset 2 min · One small task · seated
Name the next outcome, remove one distraction, and begin for two minutes.
Name the outcome, remove one distraction, start. Minimum version: name the outcome and start.
